I was once given some very good advice on making hobbies pay for themselves. We all work, but have hobbies too, which we enjoy outside our workplace.

I should find a way to make my knowledge of fishing pay for the time I spend on it, since I enjoy it so much. Some people may view list building as either exceptionally hard work on one hand and intimidating on the other. Perhaps it is best to look at it this way, when you have good news you don’t really think about whether you SHOULD share it, you wonder how many people you can share it with.

You will be looking for someone to share this good news with. You want to share this news with everyone who is willing to listen, because you are passionate about it. When you connect with someone who is willing to listen the internal satisfaction level increases.

This why an online business cannot thrive without the important function of list building. People need to be given the opportunity to sign up for information from your website, which would be the spreading the news about your passions and sharing them. You should find ways to attract and welcome new visitors.

Follow your passion to a logical conclusion. The finding of customers that share the same passions, hence satisfied with your products and business and all identified because of the list building which all started with the following of your passions.
