When you begin shopping for good golf equipment, you’ll find that if you know how and where to look, it can be a very rewarding adventure. I’ve stumbled upon great deals a number of times just by dropping by summer yard sales. I’ve seen entire sets for $30. Single woods were $3. Granted, they weren’t the best of the best, but I don’t need the best of the best to play (until such time that I turn pro).

Golf clubs come in several sizes including standard, midsize and oversized. Standard golf clubs are most like traditional golf clubs but recommended for advanced golfers due to its problem in controlling center hits. Midsize golf clubs are a mix of standard golf clubs and oversized golf clubs and offer more control to the beginning golfer or golfer with a mid to high handicap. Oversized golf clubs have oversized heads that can be hard to control for a low handicap golfer.

The golf course is one of my favorite places to be. You see player after player forking over their cash to get their wired yellow bucket with their trusty golf balls. Theres the inevitable crash of the balls as they fall into their own bucketwith the typical two left over at the end that drop to the cement as you jump to catch them. Ahhdont you love the course!

Good golf equipment can be cheap if you know where to look. I can’t count how many times I’ve gone to yard sales in the summer in my neighborhood and to find an entire set of clubs for $20. Granted, I’m almost certain they weren’t top of the line stuff, but they were suitable for how I play.

When people think of golf many figure that the game was created within the last century or at the most in the 19th century but it is actually older than that. Most agree that the Scottish were the first golfers to become addicted to the sport. In fact, James II of Scotland banned golf for more serous combat drills.
