Posted at Jul 24th, 2010 in Golf Books
Camdenton is a great place to live with excellent schools, clean air and scenic beauty. Located at the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 54, It is connected to Macks Creek and Osage Beach by Highway 54, as it travels east and west through Camdenton.
Camdenton Missouri has been a family friendly community for some time. Its competitive wage rates, rich history and low crime rate make it a great destination. The town is still quite young boasting a median age of 30 among a population of almost 3,000.
The State of Missouri boasts about some of its finest school systems. It’s well funded school system offers many advantages to its students. Because it is such a great system, families from all over the state have relocated there to take advantage.
No matter your skill level, Camdenton is a golf lover’s paradise! The Lake Valley Country Club’s par 72 course is challenging and has plenty of company as there are also 9 more courses within 18 miles. The town shares some amazingly beautiful golf courses with neighboring towns and there are two champion courses within three miles. One is the Club at Old Kinderhook and is set amid a 638-acre recreational community. The course is a Tom Weiskopf Signature course and has zoysia fairways, large greens, elevated tees and vistas to take your breath away.
With paved walkways as well as rugged trails, there are hiking adventures for all skill levels. Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Lovers Leap and the Bridal Cave are some of the area’s land marks and popular recreation spots for both residents and visitors. Ha Ha Tonka is just 5 miles from the Town Square and has plenty of hiking trails, castle ruins and if you love caves, then spelunking is available for you. There are bluffs, rock formations, a huge natural bridge and one of Missouri’s largest springs.
The Lake area generates about 15% of the total state Tourism revenue and has about 4 million annual visitors. With a Community College and expo center planned, it is easy to see why Camdenton grew 3.7 times the state growth rate for Missouri.
