At the heart of golf is the PGA Golf Pro. As a PGA pro with many years of experience, I am here to help you, the ordinary club golfer enjoy this great game. From basic fundamentals of the set-up and swing, equipment advice to coaching elite players, as a PGA pro I can assist with anything GOLF! Remember the PGA pro is the Heart of Golf!

Golf now stands as one of the biggest participation sports in the country. The huge increase in the amount of golfers playing on a regular basis has had a direct affect on the role of the PGA pro. As the sport has grown in popularity over the years, this has allowed many pros to concentrate on a specific part of the game. Many now specialise in areas such as coaching, retail, management or club repairs.

The popularity of the sport has provided many opportunities for pros to specialise in specific areas of the game. These roles include full time coaches, psychologists, retailers and club mangers.

Since qualifying as a PGA Professional back in 1995 and enjoying several years as a Club Professional, I made the decision to concentrate on my passion for coaching. I founded MT Golf Academy in 2003 and now head an extremely successful coaching operation. I provide golf lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.

I have gained much experience over the 14 years as a qualified Professional. Over this time I have studied the swing techniques of hundreds of players and learnt from many of the most respected coaches in the game. Observing the different coaching methods has fully equipped me with the tools I need to coach effectively.

The past 14 years working as a qualified PGA Professional has provided me with the experience and knowledge to improve the technique of any golfer, with no restrictions on age or golfing ability. I have a particular interest in junior golf development, and now dedicate much of my time to introducing golf into schools. Many young golfers then receive regular golf tuition at one of my academy venues including Ghyllbeck Driving Range, Esholt and Fardew Golf Club, East Morton.

I have recently been invited to develop the junior sections at Bingley St.Ives Golf Club, Harden and Headley Golf Club, Bradford. I have also been appointed as Golf Academy Manager for Shipley College, helping to co-ordinate various BTEC National Diplomas.
